Unconscious Stillness

I've been tired and I've been weary and I need your soul now to lift me up...

It was one hell of a week. And the next one will be the same. I have so much drafts for posts but don't have the time to write them as I wish I could. So everything that's a bit more serious is put on hold.

This is the fourth year I'm an assistant in the academy, helping students with their photography tasks. Right now my colleagues and I are working with the freshmen on double portraits and depth of field. It's a rewarding experience for us and them. Kind of tiring as well.

In the meantime the fourth-year students have a lot of not easy, very technical tasks. We would be working on macro photography sometime next week with a Sinar camera, that's not easy to use. Timelapse, panoramas, architecture and interior photography are some of the assignments also. I'm actually contented with the work I'm doing at the academy. All the explaining, helping, brainstorming and everything in between is something I could do for the rest of my life.

The shots I'm sharing in this post are from numerous walks around the city. They bring me a certain peacefulness. Right now I'm thinking if I had recorded the surrounding sounds when I took the photos it would be an interesting contradiction. You know hearing as a sense is really important in our evolution as human beings. Projects that include sound are usually provoking the viewer a lot more. But I'll write about that another time. Right now it's time for a little break. I wish you serenity...and for those who live in countries where we go back in time - don't forget tomorrow we'll have an hour more.
